Welcome to Carrier Park!

Carrier Park is a state-of-the-art, all inclusive, multi-sport facility open to all children and adults. It is also the proud home of the Syracuse Challenger Baseball program.

In an effort to best serve all visitors to the park, we ask that everyone observe the policies listed below. These policies are designed for the safety of all visitors and to ensure all amenities and equipment remain in good, working condition for the use and enjoyment of everyone.

Carrier Park Policies & Hours of Operation

Hours of Operation for Gates B and 1:

The park is open 8:00am to Dusk. Gate B and Gate 1 are open to the public 8:00am to Dusk. 

Field reservations:
Carrier Park ballfields are available for use through the main gate by reservation only. Please contact Salt City Sports at info@salcitysport.org or 315-256-8344. 

Basketball courts and pavilion reservations: 
Please contact the Town of DeWitt Recreation Department at 315-446-3910, ext. 9 or recreation@townofdewitt.com 

Trash:
All parks are "carry-in carry-out" facilities; no trash receptacles are available. 
Children:
Must be supervised at all times while in Town parks. 
Pets:
Must be on a leash at all times; owners must clean up after pets. 
Alcohol:
Compliance is required with all applicable laws and regulations of the State of New York, the Town of DeWitt, and the Onondaga County Health Department. 
Fishing:
Catch and release only, where applicable. 
Hunting and Firearms:
Town law prohibits hunting and the possession of firearms in parks. 

Carrier Park Facility Use Policies
Facility equipment should not be moved (i.e. garbage cans, bleachers, benches, goals, etc.).
Refrain from attaching personal items to any part of the facility (i.e. signs, posters, balloons, etc.).
No glass containers are allowed in the park.
Metal cleats are not permitted on the fields.
Sunflower seeds are not permitted on the fields.
Confetti is not permitted on the fields.
Dunking is not permitted on any basketball hoop.

Carrier Park Dog Policy
All dogs entering the park must be on a leash at all times.
Dog owners are responsible for bringing bags to contain their dog waste.
At no time are dogs allowed to be on the playing fields or basketball courts.
Service animals are allowed within the facility and will follow all New York State ADA regulations.
